Nailsea get a walkover 3-0 victory as BS4 couldn't field a team for the second time this season. Fortunatley, Nailsea managed to bring forward their home game with GVC Rovers to set-up a potential 6-pointer Saturday.

The come-back kings clinch a point in Bath with a spirited performance. Nailsea came back from being 2 goals down at 2-0, 3-1 and 4-2. A confident last minute penalty from Jon Lansdown clinched the point.

The 3rd annual charity 6-a-side tournament was a great success with 8 teams competing for the title this year. Nailsea Galacticos ran out deserved winners, beating the Celtic Kickers in the final. 8.6.07 - Nailsea just miss out on promotion
A dissapointing end to the season saw Nailsea slip to 3rd place and miss out on promotion by 4 points. However it's another improvement on the previous season's league position and the form book would indicate that next season might be our time if we continue improving. Goal scoring still seems to be our main stumbling block though - calling all stikers out there!

25.2.07 - Nailsea 1 BUCU 0
A good honest performance from the Nailsea boys saw them nick all the points against a strange looking motely crew called the BUCU (they forget their kit). A Mike Wood tap in was enough to see off a youthful BUCU that never gave up, right up to the final whistle.



17.2.07 - Widcombe 0 Nailsea 0
A make shift Nailsea team hit the woodwork twice and forced the Widcombe keeper to make three cracking saves. Nailsea had a number of chances but just couldn't convert. To finish off a thoroughly miserable day, Jon Lansdown was sent off for being less than polite to the referee. The Nailsea manager was disappointed but said he couldn't complain about the result. Are Nailsea building for next season now?



3.2.07 - SAS 3 Nailsea 0
A truly awfull performance by Nailsea saw them go down by 3 goals in a result that will make Andrew of welstock very happy indeed. SAS should have won by far more but fortunately a towering performance by Pete Noble at the heart of the defence kept the score down.

24.5.06 - Pre-Season training starts Saturday 3rd of June
The build up to the 2006/07 season starts on Saturday the 3rd of June, with training at 10am at Scotch Horn. So dust off your boots/moulders and get ready for a football fest what with the world cup starting the week after.
Pre-season training will be every Saturday at 10am and every Tuesday (World Cup premitting) at 6:30pm, both at Scotch Horn.
Please try and get there on time so we can get straight into it. Be late and you'll miss the football at the beginning but be just in time for the painful physical stuff.

8.5.06 - A good day's work in the 7-a-side competition
Nailsea put in a decent performance in the end of season 7-a-side competition on Saturday the 6th of May, in what looked like a tough group on paper. Jon Lansdown also landed the League's 'Player of The Season' award, along with Andy Baynton from Woodlands...read more about it.



3.5.06 - End of season 7-a-side competition on Sat 6th May
The end of season 7-a-side competition is now taking place on Saturday the 6th of May, at the football pitches on Creswicke Road in Knowle (home of Counterslip FC), just of Hengrove Way (by Cineworld). We're planning to meet at Scotch Horn, in Nailsea at 9am, to get to the venue for 9:20am. The format will be 4 leagues of 4 and 5 teams and on grass (full size pitches) so bring your boots/moulders. The league trophies and honours should also be handed out on the day...map of venue.



2.5.06 - Division 2 final standings
So finally the remainder of the division 2 games have been played and Nailsea can be proud of their 5th place finish. Only two points of 4th and a mere 6 points of promotion. Just think if a couple of those results had gone our way at the end of the season.
Anyway, congratulations to all involved and let's look forward to achieving great things next season...check it out.

Jon Lansdown put in an impressive performance for the Bristol City FC forum team against a spirited Bristol Rovers forum team at Ashton gate on Thursday night. He contributed to a 2-1 victory with a stunning left strike, before having to retire with cramp in both legs...check it out.

The mild-mannered, self-styled midfield general of Nailsea Churches FC is no stranger to away fixtures, but recently he's played further away than normal...check it out.

9.4.06 - Counterslip secure last promotion spot
A nail biting finish to the division 2 promotion race saw Hayhill lose the promotion race to Counterslip on goal difference (by one goal), despite beating Widcombe 4-1 in their last game. So good luck to Woodlands and Counterslip in Division 1 next season.
Nailsea have finished a respectable 5th, a whopping 11 points clear of Hope in 6th and missing out on promotion by 6 points...latest league table.
