30th Sep: Nailsea 1 BUCU 1
A glorious sunny day changed when the heavens opened the rain came down, fantastic when you have just come back from sunny spain.
The game started as expected with the refs whistle and BUCU kicking off, early doors it was nip and tuck with the teams even stevens. Around about the 15th min mark Will Bradbury chased down a long ball that was in effect a lost cause he won it knocked it back to Jon lansdown who hit a sweet half volley from 25 yards giving the keeps no chance. As expected this put us one nil up.

BUCU came back at us and began over running our midfield, a through ball was intercepted brillinatly by yours truly only to see this magnificant piece of defending pick out the run by their left winger who scored from a tight angle.
The referee correctly ascertained the score to be 1-1 and restarted the game. The game of cat and mouse continued at a stalemate until half time.
All I will say about the second half is that Nailsea quite frankly were very very very poor, second if not third to every ball, completely over run in midfield and showed an inability to run with the BUCU players at times. Easily our worst 45 minutes of the season to date. BUCU are probably the best team we have played this season and will be there or there abouts come the season end.
We worked hard enough to earn a point but BUCU were the better team. Jon Lansdown was both MVP and Man of the match. Jon had a good game today and worked hard but in my opinion Pete Noble, at the heart of our defence was by far the best Nailsea player today and some great defending by this veteran defensive maestro ensured we earned a point.
