15th March: BS4 1 Nailsea 7
With Nailsea struggling to get into their stride, BS4 took their opportunity to make the early running and had a number of opportunities to take the lead. Nailsea were restricted to counter attacks and corners. As the half wore on chances came and went for the away side and they paid the price when Nailsea finally managed to break the dead lock with the ball falling to Gunning on the edge of the box and he struck it sweetly inside the left hand post.

This seemed to knock BS4's confidence and soon after Cambell was released through the centre of the park before being brought down just inside the box. BS4 players surrounded the ref but to no avail and Jonno stepped up to plant firmly to the keepers right and inside the post.

The wind had clearly been knocked out of the BS4 players sails as the second half proved routine for Nailsea and they added another 5 goals. Cambells hard working display paid off as he finished tidily from 20yards and later claimed a second with a downward header after good work down the right by Howard. Cambell was again upended in the box and that presented Jono the opportunity from 12 yards. He showed good composure to tuck the ball away into the same corner as before. To prove Nailsea's dominance there was even an opportunity for The Hass to get himself on the scoresheet twice. His first was a rocket from 4 yards and although I did miss his second, reports claim there ‘may’ have been a deflection involved.
BS4 kept plugging away and were rewarded midway throughout the second half with a crisply struck shot from the edge of the box. Mike WW took the Man of The Match plaudits with an attacking display from his right back birth.
